A space that reflects the authentic quality of natural materials and embodies the spirit of Japanese corporate hospitality

Office Renovation Project for the European Headquarters of a Major Japanese Trading Company. This project is the renovation of an entire floor, around 1,000 square meters including common areas of a high-rise tower in the World Trade Center Amsterdam. The floor plan has been designed to encourage fluid circulation, allowing for seamless movement throughout the space. The entrance sets the tone with a high-standard, dignified atmosphere that reflects Omotenashi, Japan’s unique spirit of hospitality. Wood, a key element in Japanese design, envelops visitors in warmth and calm. As a sophisticated accent, deep blue tones are featured in the carpets and curtains, adding depth and softness in variation across different areas. Materials like concrete flooring, real wooden ceilings, and a stone-clad front wall create a balanced interplay of textures without unnecessary ornamentation, allowing the true character of each material to speak for itself.
